Computer and Technology Classes @ NPL

Norfolk Public Library offers computer and technology classes that are free and open to the public. Class topics range from the basics of computer use to various computer programs and software, as well as training and demonstrations of NPL's eBook collection with a variety of devices. Most classes are two hours in length, but actual time may vary depending on the subject, class size and student participation.

Registration is required for all classes and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Call the library location offering the class to register. Please check class prerequisites before signing up.

To avoid disruption, small children are not allowed in the class. Please arrange for their care during class time.

  • Introduction: This workshop introduces basic techniques for use with a Wacom tablet and stylus.

This workshop introduces basic techniques for creating digital artwork using a Wacom Intuos Pro graphics tablet and MediBang Paint, a free, easy-to-learn digital painting application. Attendees learn how to conceptualize a sketch, add colors, and apply simple shading and blending effects.
